Logistics Technician

The Technician, Log-In will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations, ensuring the smooth receipt and processing of samples for our Chemistry and Microbiology departments.

• Receive and log samples into the Bluephire LIMS System, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Email clients to confirm receipt of samples and notify laboratory personnel of incoming rushes.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, reagents, and other lab supplies, logging them into the Bluephire LIMS System and inventory management system.
• Review documentation to ensure all paperwork is properly filled out, including report to info, invoice to info, lot number verification, etc.
• Login controlled substances immediately upon receipt and notify appropriate lab personnel to secure samples in the safe.
• Contact clients if required information is missing or inaccurate and follow up daily on pending items.
• Add data sets to assignments when all information is present and forward missing tests/methods/specifications to the department review.
• Responsible for placing samples in designated temperature-controlled locations or refrigerators.
• Support Department Review for shipping samples to other laboratories and maintain an orderly work area.
• Document activities in accordance with cGMP.

• High School Diploma Required
• Associate's Degree in a science-related field or technical area preferred
• General knowledge of chemistry and/or microbiology and knowledge of various analytical techniques and methodologies
