Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults.
- Assess patient responses to medication, side effects, and proper dosages used in respiratory care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Teach and instruct patients and healthcare staff on respiratory care techniques and procedures.
- Recognize and report patient abuse and neglect.
- Maintain strict infection control techniques at all times.
- Assist in providing inservices for peers and staff as assigned.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
- Current Texas license for Respiratory Care Practitioner required on hire.
- BCLS required on hire.
- ACLS, STABLE, and PALS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Graduate of COARC-approved courses in Respiratory Therapy.
- Associate of Applied Science Degree.
- Minimum 6 months acute hospital experience required.
- One year hospital experience preferred.
- Adult critical care experience preferred.
Del Sol Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas. We have a Level II trauma designation and offer a range of services, including emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, and a bariatric clinic. We are part of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare and HCA Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the region.
