Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and adjust all equipment to perform exams, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in various imaging procedures, and ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Comply with regulatory agencies and ensure equipment is properly functioning, reporting potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
