Mission Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, utilizing sterile techniques, and assisting physicians as needed.
Responsibilities- Perform invasive and non-invasive ultrasound procedures on patients, utilizing sterile techniques and assisting physicians as necessary.
- Continuing education, learned skills, and experience will be utilized to produce superior quality imaging studies.
- Must work independently to meet the specific needs of the departments, utilizing a minimum of 3 qualifying ARDMS specialty certifications in addition to ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI Vascular certification.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
- Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related profession.
- Required license: ARDMS or ARRT Registry in Ultrasound at time of hire, Vascular Ultrasound Registry from either ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI required upon hire.
- Preferred license: ARDMS in multiple specialties.
- Preferred experience: 12 months previous experience in ultrasound.
Mission Hospital is a 815-bed hospital located in Asheville, North Carolina. We are a regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care, and we are the only Level II trauma center in the region.
