Automotive Equipment Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Equipment Specialist to join our team at Verizon. As an Automotive Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all types of motor vehicles and special equipment in the Verizon fleet.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle problems using computer test equipment.
- Interfacing with vehicle users to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide customer service.
- Conducting safety inspections on company vehicles to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, emissions, and state regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- 5 or more years' experience as a mechanic or other relevant experience.
- CDL License or Commercial Learner's Permit (CDL required within 6 months of hire).
- NY State Safety Inspection License (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is between $1,000 and $2,500 per week, depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, stock incentive programs, paid time off, adoption assistance, and tuition assistance.
