Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver Class A to join our team at Golden State Foods. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination truck to transport and deliver products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination truck to predetermined store locations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering the vehicle.
  • Maintain a driver log, trip and mileage records according to FMCSA regulations, and comply with all DOT rules and regulations regarding hours of service, licensing, safety, and equipment operation.
  • Secure cargo during transit, inspect vehicles for defects before, during, and after trips, and submit reports indicating equipment condition.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and current DOT Medical certification card.
  • One year of driving tractor-trailer experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing into and out of the road tractor or switch tractor.
  • Ability to work all necessary work schedules, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in extreme weather conditions and cold environments.
  • Ability to frequently lift and handle cases ranging from 5-50 pounds.
