POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to guarantee the safe and effective functioning of the production unit. This role encompasses supervising manufacturing processes, managing raw material utilization, monitoring energy consumption, ensuring quality standards, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing unit operations. The Manufacturing Engineer is essential in driving real-time enhancements in unit performance.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

  • Achieve expertise in the designated production unit.
  • Comprehend the control strategies and alarm systems of the unit.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and formulate strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build collaborative relationships to influence performance throughout the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture within the production environment.
  • Foster teamwork with departments such as Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Implement industry-leading processes to achieve safety, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Promote continuous improvement through participation in cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee production schedules to optimize inventory levels.
  • Assist in the execution of technological initiatives aimed at enhancing performance.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing sector.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ESSH principles and process enhancement methodologies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Certification in Six Sigma (Yellow, Green, or Black Belt).
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Title V regulations, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience with Provox/DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Understanding of quality management systems and ISO:9001 requirements.
