Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled IT QA Methods Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, Ohio. As a key member of our IT development team, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation suites across various frameworks and applications. You'll also advocate for change in IT leadership and architecture to introduce new tools and technologies, particularly those related to test automation.



Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:



  • Implementing and maintaining test automation suites in various frameworks and applications with varying complexity.
  • Advocating for change and coordinating with IT leadership/architecture regarding new tools/technologies to drive test automation.
  • Maintaining active awareness of the IT industry, including new developments, emerging trends, development tools, QA techniques, and best practices, and driving change where appropriate.
  • Developing, maintaining, and radiating quality assurance best practices, guardrails, and metrics for both manual and automation platforms in web and mobile applications.
  • Mentoring/coaching new and existing quality assurance individual contributors, assisting in removing QA-related roadblocks for team members.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:



  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of software quality assurance experience, including automation engineering.
  • Experience with test automation tools.
  • Advanced understanding of technologies, including mainframe, distributed, and web.
  • Advanced understanding of software development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Advanced understanding of both automation and manual testing processes and tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work across multiple projects and resources.
  • Strong understanding of business processes.
