The role entails executing a wide range of responsibilities to install, diagnose, fix, and uphold production and facility infrastructure and machinery in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance protocols to support the attainment of the organization's operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct routine maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
  • Implement preventative maintenance as specified in equipment manuals.
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain organized and clean work environments.
  • Comprehend the workings of fire and gas detection systems.
  • Examine building structures and equipment to assess functional systems and identify malfunctions, documenting findings and suggestions using a predefined checklist.
  • Assist in shipping, receiving, relocating, storing, and installing production machinery.
  • Perform safety inspections to ensure compliance with company regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Communicate the status of facilities and equipment to colleagues.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

In addition to the essential duties outlined above, all roles are also accountable for:

  • Meeting organizational standards regarding the quantity and quality of work consistently, executing all job-related tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Observing company policies, procedures, and directives concerning workplace behavior while fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • The organization reserves the right to modify or assign additional duties to this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Engagement in bending, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as required by the job.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in plant and/or facilities maintenance is preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Experience in building and custodial maintenance, reconstruction, and repair tasks.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with boiler systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
  • Proficient in water treatment systems in accordance with HVAC protocols.
  • Understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience working safely with compressed gases.

Additional Information:

This position involves working with and around hazardous materials, including corrosive and flammable chemicals, as well as compressed gases. Familiarity with safe handling practices related to these hazards is advantageous.
