Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments on patients within the appropriate time of admission.
- Plan individualized patient care, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions, and attainable outcomes.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Document accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and/or facilitate staff development and complexity of patient's condition.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- One year of pediatric ED or in-hospital experience preferred.
