Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant will assist the Physical Therapist in coordinating programs designed to restore patients to their maximum level of functioning. This includes carrying out treatment programs to achieve optimal patient outcomes, assessing the effectiveness of treatment strategies, and modifying interventions as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans
- Provide patient education and training to caregivers
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to promote patient care
- Perform administrative duties, including documentation and data entry
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum
- Current State License
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months of employment
- One to two years of experience with geriatrics preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and possess responsibility, initiative, and honesty
