As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing engineering and technical phases of manufacturing to achieve the safest, most economical, and highest quality manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Facilitate process improvement teams and continuous improvement efforts to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Departmental Goals: Establish department goals and objectives consistent with overall engineering objectives, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Training and Development: Develop training programs for manufacturing employees in continuous improvement processes, equipping them with the skills needed to drive excellence.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide strong leadership and guidance in design decisions, ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design Review: Review new designs and recommend modifications for cost-effectiveness and quality, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient and effective.
  • Manufacturing Planning: Determine methods for manufacturing during design phases, ensuring that production processes are well-planned and executed.
  • Cost Optimization: Ensure cost-effective and productive manufacturing processes, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Purchasing and Logistics: Oversee purchasing of manufacturing assets and plant layout, ensuring that equipment and facilities are optimized for production.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical engineering support and coordinate with other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive for continuous improvement and excellence in the Manufacturing Engineering Department, driving innovation and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years experience directing manufacturing engineering personnel.
  • Background: Strong background in machining, metal fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing is a plus.
