We are seeking a skilled Parts Cleaner to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aircraft parts.
Key Responsibilities- Operate metal cleaning equipment, including deburrers and blast cabinets, to remove excess paint, welds, rust, scale, and other material from metal parts.
- Perform in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing to ensure parts meet our high standards.
- Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions to remove contaminants.
- Prepare and mask surfaces prior to cleaning to prevent damage.
- Prepare parts for non-destructive testing to ensure their integrity.
- Clean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitoring chemicals through titration checks.
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Cross-train in other complementary skills to support production requirements.
- Observe all applicable safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment up to 90% of the average workday.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday.
