Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Heartland Fleet Services. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and DOT inspections on a variety of vehicles, trucks, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and DOT inspections
  • Diagnose and repair components on customer vehicles and equipment
  • Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of vehicles, trucks, and equipment, such as brakes, engines, wiring, etc.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles/equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to safely and effectively perform job functions
  • Proficient computer skills/software navigation capabilities to document repairs, operate diagnostic tools, and use email
