Job Summary:Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary team at the Brockton Behavioral Health Center. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in providing high-quality behavioral health care to acute populations and have a strong background in inpatient psychiatric settings.
Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing medications and/or other psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Develop treatment plans, measure progress against the plans, and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists to assess and adjust treatment plans.
- Coordinate and communicate with case managers, family members, and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care.
- Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement programs.
- Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner education program (with specialization in mental health) accredited by a Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing-recognized national accreditation body.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient, adult psychiatric setting.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate or eligibility.
- Buprenorphine waiver required or willingness to acquire waiver.
- Certification by Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing-approved nationally recognized certifying body.
