Caregiver / Medication Technician

About the Role:

Are you dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents? As a Caregiver / Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily routines, administering prescribed medications, and addressing their specific care requirements, all while building meaningful connections with them.

Key Duties:

  • Administer medications to residents according to medical directives and maintain precise records
  • Ensure medications are given on time by reviewing electronic medication administration records (eMAR) during each shift
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks in accordance with their personalized service plans
  • Respond swiftly to resident requests and alerts, documenting any changes in their condition
  • Manage medication orders, update eMAR, and ensure an adequate supply is available
  • Record vital signs and weight, completing all necessary documentation
  • Participate in training new staff and provide ongoing support
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident areas and communal spaces as per established protocols
  • Encourage resident engagement in activities and foster participation
  • Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors
  • Stay attentive and vigilant throughout your shifts
