Position Summary
As our company expands, we are in search of a seasoned and dynamic BSEE Electrical Engineer who excels in a vibrant, fast-paced setting filled with intriguing challenges. This role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers, clients, internal product teams, and regulatory bodies. It presents an excellent opportunity for an engineer who values independence and accountability, is eager to refine their engineering expertise, and is enthusiastic about personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess substantial experience in analog, digital, and microprocessor-based embedded circuit design, including mixed-mode electronic circuits, microprocessor-driven temperature controls, motor speed regulation, switch-mode power supplies, and various user interfaces.
- Demonstrate proficiency with schematic capture tools.
- Exhibit high energy levels and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a stimulating environment.
- Design and enhance solutions that address customer needs, focusing on compliance with UL, IEC, and EMI standards, minimizing unique part counts, ensuring manufacturability, and optimizing thermal performance.
- Generate comprehensive product documentation, including specifications, BOMs, ECNs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct design verification testing of controls, including noise testing (ESD, conducted emissions, ring wave, etc.) and thermal chamber assessments under load.
- Engage closely with clients (primarily engineers) to establish product specifications and requirements.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing embedded electronic controls is preferred, though less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools, ideally Mentor Graphics.
- A BSEE degree is mandatory.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess authorization to work in the United States.
