CT Technologist Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the medical imaging process, working closely with physicians to provide high-quality computerized tomography images for diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and position patients on the CT table with compassion and care.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and perform other necessary procedures.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and maintain clean and sterilized equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Current License as an MRT by the State of Texas is required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification is necessary.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is essential.
