ResponsibilitiesMedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a qualified neonatologist to enhance its practice at a prominent healthcare facility. The institution's NICU is poised for significant advancements:
- Transitioning to a Level III NICU in the near future
- Expanding from 10 to 15 exclusively private rooms
- New maternity tower with a state-of-the-art NICU inaugurated recently
- Approximately 2000 annual births with an average daily patient census of 10-12
- Diverse ventilation techniques, including HFOV, SIMV, CPAP, and HFNC; alongside iNO
- Implementation of therapeutic hypothermia protocols
- Dedicated neonatal nurse PICC team
- A monthly follow-up clinic for ongoing care

A Day in Neonatology
Our highly trained, board-certified neonatologists provide exceptional care for the most fragile infants. Their daily responsibilities encompass:
- Diagnosing and managing newborns with various health challenges, including respiratory issues, infections, and congenital anomalies
- Coordinating comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns requiring surgical interventions
- Ensuring optimal nutrition for critically ill infants to promote healing and growth
- Administering care during Cesarean sections or other complex deliveries involving maternal or neonatal complications
- Stabilizing and treating newborns facing life-threatening conditions
- Collaborating with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals regarding neonatal health concerns
