Information Technology Specialist II

As an Information Technology Specialist II at the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and applying software solutions to support the Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS). You will work independently as a technical specialist lead on complex software solutions, software conversions/integrations, and systems maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle to create and maintain interfaces, databases, and applications in support of the CROS Solution.
- Provide the highest level of expertise in developing, optimizing, and applying software solutions, conducting design sessions, and supporting all aspects of the CROS and related systems.
- Act as team lead for the CROS functional areas, mentor team members, and advise management.
- Assist in formulating IT strategy and planning of legislative changes, system enhancements, and solution requests.
This position is located in a high-rise building and requires standard office environment. You will be in a stationary position for extended periods, using a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone. Telework is available 50% of the time.
Requirements- Position requires employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation.
- Travel required 5% of the time.
