About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving food to our residents and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and serving food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval and in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
Requirements
  • Culinary Arts degree or certification or a minimum of five years of culinary experience at the Sous Chef level or equivalent.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
