Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at IPS-Integrated Project Services, LLC. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and directing electrical engineering projects within our Design Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates for electrical projects.
  • Develop probable construction cost estimates for smaller, less complex projects.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Modify reports, specifications, plans, and designs as needed.
  • Make calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design.
  • Create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams.
  • Select equipment based on recommendations and fill out equipment schedules.
  • Provide drawings for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters.
  • Research design options and document findings.
  • Provide information to the Project Manager for incorporation into specifications.
  • Assure that drawings and designs are per company production and design standards.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of engineering/design experience in the building design industry.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.
  • Experience with the design of building electrical systems, such as building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security, and other low voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, IBC, and other related building codes and standards.
