Position Overview:
We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and tax law.
The Trusts & Estates team provides guidance to families and individuals on the management and distribution of their estates through both basic and advanced planning strategies.
Attorneys in this area also engage in matters related to closely held businesses and tax-exempt organizations. A Missouri law license is mandatory.Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of estate, gift, GST, and related tax regulations.
- Experience in estate and wealth planning, including drafting relevant documents (such as revocable/irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney).
- Knowledge of probate and trust administration processes.
- Experience with premarital agreements.
- Ability to research and analyze complex state and federal tax law issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The firm has a billable hour target of 1700 hours per year, with allowances for up to 100 hours of professional development, business development, or firm investment credit, as well as up to 50 hours of pro bono work. This structure allows for flexibility beyond traditional client billing.
