Job Description

**Job Summary**

The Human Resources Specialist position is an on-site role at Grandstand Glassware & Apparel in Lawrence, Kansas. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate and perform daily human resources functions, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, orientation, compliance, and record keeping.
  • Collaborate and support HR Department initiatives to build company culture, engagement, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to improve employee relations, productivity, and overall work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, management, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field; or at least seven (7) years of generalist experience; or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Proven experience with HRIS systems, including applicant tracking, benefit, and performance management, time and attendance, and a solid knowledge of labor law and compliance.
  • Minimum five (5) years of payroll processing experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify and improve processes using technology to increase efficiencies.
  • Human Resources Certification, strongly preferred.
