Job OverviewAs a Tax Specialist at Fintech Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and advisory services are delivered to the highest standard. You will work closely with our financial and tax team to provide expert guidance on tax matters, including tax compliance, transfer pricing, and ad-hoc project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of Spanish corporate tax returns.
- Liaising with financial and operational staff regarding data collection and analysis.
- Drafting tax disclosures for statutory accounts.
- VAT calculations, preparations, submission, and accounting control for monthly VAT returns across all VAT Group Spanish entities.
- VAT SII reporting obligations across all Spanish entities.
- Assist in implementation of transfer pricing policies and transactions documentation.
- Monthly cashflow forecasting and reporting tax and regulatory payments.
- Provide tax support for ad-hoc corporate or business-related projects.
- Updating tax process notes for tax risk management.
- Administrating ONESOURCE tax compliance and workflow tools.
Requirements:
- Qualified accounting/finance professional.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in process documentation.
- Experience in the preparation of direct and indirect tax returns.
- Experience in tax compliance across multiple entities and CIT and VAT group entities.
- Strong modelling and excel skills.
- Experience of using nominal ledger systems.
- Able to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Problem-solving mindset with the motivation to dive into the detail when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Accounting Diploma (Degree educated or equivalent).
- Part Qualified/ Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Solid background in corporate tax compliance, GAAP, and other related accounting standards and principles.
- Working knowledge and research skill on tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures, etc.
- Oracle / Netsuit and/or A3 experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, accountability, self-starter, and ability to take ownership.
- Essential, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with all levels of the organization.
