American Family Care Warrington is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases.

Job Summary:

This role involves positioning patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, practicing radiation protection techniques, and processing images for review by physicians and radiologists. You will also utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner
  • Position patients accurately for imaging procedures
  • Implement radiation safety protocols
  • Process images and prepare them for review by physicians and radiologists
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment according to approved techniques and policies
  • Assist providers with prescribed patient treatments as necessary
  • Maintain equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and perform minor repairs
  • Complete forms and maintain records of work performed
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRT registration or eligibility is preferred, as well as state licensure. In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification may be acceptable.

Estimated Salary:

$54,000 - $62,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
