Mammography Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for validating physician orders, documenting patient history, positioning, and imaging patients. You will work closely with radiologists and the mammography team to produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Validate physician orders and document patient history
Position and image patients using mammographic equipment
Work closely with radiologists and the mammography team to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Perform diagnostic procedures, including spot compression, magnification, and breast implant imaging
Demonstrate competence in advanced breast imaging techniques
Monitor patient condition before and during procedures for tolerance and comfort
Provide accurate diagnostic image identification and critique image quality

Requirements:

Completion of a JCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Registered Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT or registry-eligible and must achieve Mammography-certification within six months of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the hospital
