The Riverdale Joint Unified School District is a premier educational institution located in a thriving agricultural region, approximately 25 miles southwest of Fresno.

The district operates four campuses, serving over 1600 students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Principal or Designee, the Athletic Trainer will coordinate comprehensive programs for preventative care, emergency response, and therapeutic rehabilitation for student-athletes and coaches at both High School and Middle School levels.

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of independent judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes
  • Provide emergency care and first aid during athletic events and practices
  • Conduct therapeutic rehabilitation and training sessions for injured athletes
  • Collaborate with coaches and school administrators to promote athletic program excellence
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of athletic injuries and treatment

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program
  • Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency
  • Previous experience as a high school athletic trainer preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy
