The Utilization Manager will be responsible for leading the utilization management team and developing strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, including CPT-ICD-9 coding principles and DRG management. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Nursing, current R.N. licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, and at least five years of hospital nursing experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement utilization management strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
- Lead the utilization management team and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
- Maintains current R.N. licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Five years of hospital nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in the field of Utilization Management activities highly preferred.
