Trail King Industries is seeking a skilled Assembler II - Trailer Accessorization Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accessorizing trailers in the final stages of production, ensuring they meet customer specifications and Trail King standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Install all parts on trailers and assemblies not installed prior to painting.
- Install tires on trailers per order and torque down all wheels with a nut runner as per specifications.
- Install stripes, company decals, informational, and safety decals as specified.
- Verify each order for customer specifications on equipment required.
- Touch up paint with aerosol spray cans and quart cup guns as needed.
- Adjust brakes as directed.
- Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials properly.
- Successfully complete annual training.
- Follow standard work and procedures.
- Operate various equipment and tools required to perform job duties.
- Use a respirator when performing paint touch-up.
- Pass a pre-employment and annual pulmonary function test (PFT) with acceptable results.
- Move around, on, and underneath trailers using a creeper.
- Handle tires and torque wrench.
- Cut and install decking material on trailers.
- Train new team members on Assembler I responsibilities.
- Must be proficient in shop floor computer operating systems.
- Must have achieved most Assembler I skills.
- Must be able to work up to a 12-hour shift.
- Must be willing to fluctuate hours to accommodate needs.
- While performing duties, employee must stand, kneel, walk, sit, climb, bend, and twist; use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes, and is near moving machinery.
