Job Summary

This role will support the design development of structural engineering designs for the ML2 Project by modifying and updating GSTRUDL structural steel models & calculations and providing responses to requests for information from the steel fabricator and construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and check complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel calculations and specifications.
  • Originate, check, and modify complex structural analysis models using GT STRUDL.
  • Review and coordinate technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines.
  • Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
  • Provide technical direction to designers and less experienced engineers as directed.
  • Assist in constructability reviews.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural or related), from an accredited university, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • US citizen or legal resident.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a U.S. Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Proficient in the use of Mathcad or similar software.
  • Thorough knowledge of the provisions of AISC Steel Manual & ASCE 7.
  • Familiar with Bechtel standard programs.
  • Familiar with all Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) and their application to projects.
