Job Summary

The Nursing Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to all staff throughout the hospital on weekends. This role is a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to nursing staff on weekends
  • Act as a liaison between department directors and administration to ensure smooth operations
  • Promote patient care consistent with the hospital's philosophy and objectives
  • Manage units providing care to a varied population, including children and adolescents with mental health issues

Requirements

  • Graduate from a professional nursing program with an active Illinois RN License in good standing
  • Three years of prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing
  • Previous clinical supervisor role in a psychiatric setting preferred
  • Possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and CPR training
