Automation Assembly Technician

Aerotek is a leading staffing agency providing career opportunities across North America. We seek an Automation Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team in Richmond, Virginia. This Contract position comes with a salary range of $48,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with assembly, hand tools, blueprints, mechanical assembly, power tools, schematics, tape measures, assembly lines, hand and power tools, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, assembling, packaging, inspection, electronic assembly, quality control, and building mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities include:
• Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and enclosure/panel fabrication drawings to determine the best assembly method for control panels and/or electrical equipment assemblies
• Field wiring electrical enclosures and various electrical/electronic components to our automated industrial equipment
• Performing assigned tasks based on allotted time scheduled for the project and within acceptable standards of quality
Key qualifications include:
• Solid electrical aptitude that enables the use of sound judgment and proper electrical controls wiring techniques
• Experience with assembly, hand tools, blueprints, mechanical assembly, power tools, and other relevant tools
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
