Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Blaster Painter to join our team at Chevron Pascagoula MS. As a key member of our paint crew, you will be responsible for applying coatings to surfaces using various techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply coatings to surfaces using brush, roller, conventional spray, airless, thermal spray, and other specialty coating applications
  • Clean and store paint tools and equipment after use
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from hazards
  • Measure and mix paint with a paint mixer
  • Monitor and maintain breathing air boxes and paint and blast pots during operations
  • Perform general housekeeping and assigned duties on the jobsite
  • Prepare surfaces for coating application using hand tools, power tools, and blasting equipment
  • Provide support to the paint crew and effectively communicate with crew members and supervision
  • Store and dispose of chemicals in accordance with BrandSafway policies and procedures
  • Visually inspect surfaces prepared for coating application
Requirements
  • At least three years of paint experience preferred
  • Basic oral communication skills required
  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent
  • Ability to do basic math desired
Work Environment

The employee will regularly work in high, precarious places and be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, non-weather heat, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will also be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may work in varying degrees of confined space. The noise level is usually moderate, but may be loud at certain times while working at construction job sites.
