Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our team at ECS Limited. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for preparing geotechnical reports, managing construction materials testing projects, and providing technical solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Geotechnical Report Preparation: Prepare geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations, to meet project deadlines.
  • Construction Materials Testing: Manage construction materials testing projects, review daily reports, and assist with issue resolution.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare geotechnical and construction materials testing proposals, manage project budgets, and prepare change orders and invoices.
  • Client Communication: Host or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports and provide technical solutions as necessary.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with or perform tasks such as preparing drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, performing research on local geologic history, supervising field work, classifying soil, and mentoring staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
  • Certification: PDA Certification required, PDCA Intermediate or equivalent/better.
  • Experience: Prefer minimum 2 years experience operating PDA equipment and PDA software, including GRL Weap and CAPWAP.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Deep foundation design, testing, and inspection experience, as well as experience with issuing driven pile recommendations.
  • Professional Licenses: Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) required, with a valid driver's license for driving on behalf of ECS Limited.
