Head Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Clerk to join our team at Albertsons. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash registers, and supervising store employees.

• Customer Service: Provide fast, friendly, and courteous service to all customers, including effective resolution of customer complaints.
• Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, manage cash registers, and maintain accurate records.
• Supervision: Supervise and direct front-end activities, including monitoring customer traffic and service level, coordinating programs, and ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including ordering supplies and merchandise.
• Emergency Procedures: Handle scan system emergencies, including UPC code issues and system failures.
• Employee Supervision: Supervise store employees in the presence or absence of the Store Manager.
• Store Operations: Perform complete store walks, delegate tasks, and follow through to ensure completion.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
• Previous Customer Service Experience: 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and supervise a team.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.
