**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team at VANTA PARTNERS Inc. This in-person position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our continued growth and success.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile weekly billing/invoicing to customers.
  • Oversee monthly invoicing of rent roll.
  • Analyze current week's billing versus prior week.
  • Compare pricing against purchase orders.
  • Submit payment requests to customers.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable invoices.
  • Generate statements and follow up on payment requests to customers.
  • Conduct job cost analysis on assigned projects and summarize results.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to senior management.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and budgets, including preparation of workpapers.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns.
  • Conduct internal and external audits as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years in a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller role.
  • Experience in the construction industry, distribution, or similar fields is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
