Position Summary

Architectural Project Manager
The selected candidate will oversee the complete lifecycle of architectural projects, from initial proposals and feasibility studies to design development, construction documentation, bidding, and project closeout. This role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all phases of architectural projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Lead and manage the efforts of team members, both within the organization and externally.
  • Handle multiple projects of varying complexity and stages, from design to construction.
  • Develop and conceptualize design ideas and detailed plans.
  • Review and refine drawings and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Prepare comprehensive specifications and project manuals for bidding and construction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with contractors and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Conduct field investigations and verify existing conditions as necessary.
  • Maintain organized project files, data, and reports.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the production of complete sets of contract documents.
  • Manage relationships with sub-consultants, ensuring compliance with design intent.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and financials.
  • Engage in project presentations and interviews with clients and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Architect (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience in both new construction and renovation projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software.
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant federal, state, and local codes.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to design within budget constraints.
  • Interest in mentoring junior staff and fostering professional growth.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on career advancement.
