Primary Objective:

The role focuses on executing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, policies, and standards across all organizational assets to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal guidelines. This position prioritizes delivering safety training, interpreting regulatory requirements, conducting incident investigations, and performing facility assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary Safety contact, addressing safety-related issues by providing recommendations based on a thorough understanding of organizational policies and governmental regulations.
  • Support field operations by overseeing Safe Work Practices and Industrial Hygiene Programs.
  • Engage in Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and assist in implementing safety control measures.
  • Represent the company during EHS inspections conducted by regulatory bodies.
  • Enhance communication with employees to reinforce the significance of EHS goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of EHS policies and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular EHS inspections of company facilities and projects.
  • Participate in Emergency Response Planning, drills, and actual emergency situations.
  • Alert management regarding any violations of EHS regulations or internal policies.
  • Deliver training sessions on selected EHS topics to company personnel.
  • Facilitate root cause analyses for reported incidents, including near misses and accidents.
  • Provide EHS support for special engineering projects as required.
  • Interact with a diverse range of individuals with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills in person and over the phone.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Be available to work non-traditional hours as necessary.
  • Prioritize personal safety and the safety of colleagues and company assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of safe work practices.

Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent organizational skills.

Certifications: A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain necessary certifications as required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands for typing, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions: May require availability during non-working hours and up to 50% travel.

The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
