Job Title: Head Girls Wrestling Coach

The Kennewick School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head Girls Wrestling Coach to lead our girls wrestling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive wrestling program that promotes student-athlete development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a wrestling program that aligns with the Kennewick School District's mission and values.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a team of student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in wrestling and academic achievement.
  • Design and implement a training program that focuses on technique, strength, and conditioning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, administrators, and community members to promote the wrestling program and the Kennewick School District.
  • Ensure compliance with all district, state, and national regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the Kennewick School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three current recommendations.
  • Demonstrated evidence of being a positive role model.
  • Clearly defined philosophy for the coaching level applied for.
  • Coaching experience in wrestling.
  • Evidence of effective public relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and communicate with students, parents, assistant coaches, administrators, and community members.
  • Evidence of WIAA certification, and compliance with WIAA and district rules and regulations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, push or pull 18-26 lbs., sit, kneel and crouch, twist and bend, use hands to type, finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arm.

The employee is required to talk/hear conversations and other sounds. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. The employee is required to taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 26 lbs; must also be able to lift overhead. The employee may be required to physically move quickly in an emergency or while performing student supervision duties.
