Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Professor to join our team at Capyear. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will play a vital role in providing faculty support to meet the teaching, research, and patient care needs of our Section of Transplant Surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including surgery, consultative services, outpatient services, and care of hospitalized patients.
  • Participate in all teaching activities of the Department, including conferences, lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds.
  • Supervise and evaluate residents, provide medical direction, and participate in committee memberships at the departmental and health system level.
  • Advance clinical knowledge through scholarly and research efforts, participating in either basic research or clinical research and publication of scientific articles.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved medical school.
  • Completion of an approved residency training program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Transplant Surgery.
  • Texas Medical license without restrictions.
