As a Senior Retail Training Specialist, you play a crucial role in our vision: enhancing the way people commemorate holidays and each other by cultivating a more thoughtful and caring environment.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Training Coordinator to oversee and instruct merchandisers in our greeting card sections across various retail establishments.

This part-time position is dedicated to the training and growth of our merchandisers while also managing updates within a designated geographical region.

Compensation

• The initial compensation is $14.50 per hour, with two scheduled increases in the first year of employment (the stated rates may vary based on work location).
• After six months of service, the pay rate will rise to $15.80.
• Upon completing one year of continuous employment, the pay rate will increase to $17.00.

Work Hours
The average weekly hours are 15, with the potential to increase to an average of 35 hours per week during peak holiday seasons.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Retail Training Specialist

• Collaborate with the Field Manager to assess training requirements.
• Engage with both new and existing merchandisers to arrange necessary training while providing mentorship and constructive feedback.
• Train on various responsibilities, including but not limited to, order servicing, inventory management, and organizational tasks, as well as seasonal duties such as changeovers, display maintenance, and inventory oversight.
• Establish strong relationships with store staff while promoting our brand identity.
• Identify and coordinate coverage for vacant retail locations within the assigned area.
• Continuously strive to enhance store performance and ensure the success of merchandisers.
• Manage merchandising tasks for a small route of stores.

Revision Duties of a Senior Retail Training Specialist

• Collaborate with the Field Manager and store personnel on significant revision activities before, during, and after setup.
• Possess knowledge of various fixture types across different accounts and the ability to assemble fixtures as required. Understand planograms, cabinet diagrams, and other revision-specific materials to effectively execute revisions.
• Skillfully delegate tasks and manage a team during revisions to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Field Manager regarding all aspects of revisions and follow up throughout the process.

Qualifications:

What makes a successful Senior Retail Training Specialist?

• Preferred experience in training and supervision
• Background in retail or merchandising is advantageous
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills are essential
• Technological proficiency - ability to learn and utilize technology effectively
• Capability to lift, push, and/or move up to 40 lbs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• May require significant time spent in a vehicle.
