Job Summary:
As a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to premature and critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of a hospital. You will work under the direction of a physician, caring for the newborn and helping to educate their new mothers about their baby's condition, breastfeeding, and answering their questions.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate new mothers about their baby's condition, breastfeeding, and other relevant topics
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and other relevant data
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in neonatal care
