Job Summary

As a Route Assistant with Mitchell Companies, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our delivery drivers in navigating their assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with drivers to plot the most efficient routes for deliveries.
  2. Monitor delivery schedules and adjust routes as necessary.
  3. Provide drivers with directions and guidance to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  4. Assist drivers in navigating challenging areas, including spotting trailers while backing into locations.
  5. Monitor traffic conditions and provide updates to drivers to minimize delays.
  6. Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate records of delivery times, route changes, and customer feedback.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service and address any delivery-related issues or concerns.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  3. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and handle unforeseen circumstances.
  7. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are preferred but not required.
