Position Overview:
Petro Papa is in search of a Financial Reporting Specialist to undertake moderately complex financial reporting and operational data tasks with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance financial systems
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial documentation
- Conduct moderately complex financial analyses
- Update and manage the Company's financial management system
- Prepare elimination entries for consolidated inter-company balances as necessary
- Support the SEC reporting team in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports
- Manage FICO (Finance/Controlling) master data across the company’s system landscape
- Record topside entries
- Oversee daily and periodic foreign exchange (FX) rate processes
- Review the consolidation of the Corporate Annual Budget
- Create presentations using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or financial software as required
- Assist colleagues with analyses, reports, and financial systems
- Potentially lead financial analysis projects
- Aid in information requests from external auditors during reviews.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in internal financial reporting and analysis, is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with SEC reporting and financial management systems is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Preferred Education Level:
- A Master's Degree or CPA designation is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in managing moderate to complex financial reporting projects, including GAAP research.
- Strong comprehension and assessment skills regarding GAAP issues.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and intermediate experience with financial software.
- A solid understanding of finance concepts and procedures.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient in spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.
- Ability to perform unstructured tasks and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
Work Environment:
- Office-based setting.
