Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at UNI Health Care Recruiters. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures using imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, and MRI machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Assist physician with performing diagnostic and vascular interventional procedures (utilizing surgical sterile technique). Review results and take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies including sterile trays. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Assist with clerical and non-technical duties necessary to department operations, such as documenting procedures into department/hospital information systems, as per departmental policy, recording billing, editing and statistical information in radiology information system, (post-processing and archiving of images to PACS), maintaining and cleaning patient care equipment per infection control standards and evaluating inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Contract - Commitment to a 13 Week assignment
  • Minimum of 1 year experience required in Specialty
  • Must have Neuro Experience
  • Current BLS from the AHA or ARC
  • Current professional license to practice in the State of Louisiana
