We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care activities according to age-appropriate and developmental needs of the patient.
- Assist with delivery of patient care by providing patient transportation as needed.
- Observe patients and report any changes in conditions to registered nurses.
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients; answer call lights and respond appropriately.
- Perform routine department tasks, including straightening patient rooms and changing linens.
- Transport patients as needed and provide care during transportation.
- Order supplies needed for patients and replenish stock.
- Contribute to cost-effective patient care by monitoring use of time, equipment, and supplies.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Program required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience required.
The salary range for this position is $21.40-$33.12/hour. Please note that salary ranges may be modified in the future and may not accurately reflect ranges provided by third-party job sites.
