Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise clients in daily living activities and program operations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Monitor facility grounds and security, reporting any concerns or incidents to management.
  • Assist in the facilitation of groups and meetings, providing guidance and support to clients.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports, including client activity reports and medication logs.
  • Conduct visual searches and monitor trip logs to ensure client safety and compliance with program rules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility, adhering to WestCare's high standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a residential social service setting, preferably working with the criminal justice/substance abusing population.
  • Associates degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Alcohol and Drug Registration and certification in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily performed in an office or residential treatment setting, with some outdoor activities required.
  • UA testing of clients is mandatory.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations in the program is essential.
