POSITION: INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTANT (LATAM)

We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our Starlink team. This role is pivotal in managing financial reporting for our subsidiaries, ensuring that all month-end tasks are completed accurately and on time. The Accountant will play a key role in establishing and refining accounting processes as our global broadband services expand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the month-end closing process to guarantee precise and timely financial reporting for Starlink's international operations.
  • Prepare essential financial documents, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Collaborate with local service providers to ensure compliance with international statutory regulations and facilitate the alignment of local financial statements with U.S. GAAP.
  • Support the tax team in meeting international tax compliance requirements, including VAT/GST documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and reporting standardization initiatives.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Engage in special projects as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems like MS Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and international accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • This position requires onsite presence.
