Key Responsibilities- Assist the Teacher with daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, instruction, and assessment.
- Support the Teacher in maintaining a high level of student attendance and enrollment.
- Assist with home visits and provide support to families in enhancing their children's well-being and academic success.
- Perform related duties within the scope of Head Start, as assigned by the Head Teacher.
- Attend staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support the efforts of Head Start families in achieving their goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or enrolled in a CDA credential program preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Experience in child care or education.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English and Spanish.
- Local resident of Cameron or Willacy County preferred.
